In my EvoX menu it shows that the F drive is ~290gig. However, when reaching 163gig i cant seem to transfer anymore. Is this a known problem here on these forums? I use an Xbox 1.6 with an Aladdin XT modchip, im sure it supports LBA48 or whatever its called. I am installing the disk with Slayers Installer 2.6, re-formatting disks with backup files etc, nothing I havent done before. But this problem has occured on 2 Xboxes now,, what can i be doin wrong? Please help
I'm not sure about the bios used with the aladdin chip actually being that compatable..try going into evox settings and enabling the G: drive and then formatting it..you'll need to add menu entries for dvd2xbox etc to look on the G: drive, but that should do it..
Before i flashed the bios and reformatted, evox didn't show 290gig free on F:, instead it was showing the 137gig. So I assume the bios supports the LBA48 since it wouldn't be able to see/show the 137gig+ if it didn't? It's an M8 bios version btw.
I think it might be somthing you have alter using evtools, that what I had to do when I installed a new drive, it was a 250 gig, and it wouldnt go higher than 160.
Hi king..I'm inclined to think it's something to do with the aladdin..an xecuter 3 install with a 300gig drive just puts everything on F:\, and my x3 with a 200 has a 190 gig F:\...but why not just activate G:\ and format it for films and music..
Well the chip I use is a duox 2, which almost exactly the same as the aladdin XT, so if your are willing format your drive, and alter your bios using evtools, it should be good.
I'll have look at the evtools app. And yes, i could just format the G:\ drive and stuff but i'd prefer one big F:\ thx for the feedback
Download "xbpartitioner". Simple tool but will need to format your F drive to increase the size to full capactiy.
