I have a Sony HC20-E camcorder. I'm really disappointed with the bundled Picture Package software, it doesn't seem to have any method of transferring video directly to avi files on the PC, only directly to VCD or DVD. Can anyone recommend a video package that will allow be to capture to an avi or mpg file? I've tried Ulead media studio and this works up to a point, but the captured video is so small and is not very good quality.
Adobe prem 2.0, is my favorite at the moment, bit of learning curve but very adaptable, also like windows movie maker for its simpleness, though only creates a file no burning software with it. Loads of others to try e,g pinniacle, sonic, You can download a free trial from adobe after giving some personal details.
