My apologies if this problem has been answered before. It's such a simple and, I think, common problem that I'm surprised I could not find an answer somewhere.

My company has a VHS tape that they produced in the late 1980s. I would like to capture stills from it for our website.

I have a Lite-On (freestanding) DVD recorder so transfering it to DVD video (VOB files) is no problem.

I've searched this site along with a few others but could not find a way to capture stills from the DVD.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use PowerDVD to capture quality stills, whiole playing DVDs.
eg. Bruce Lee Nunchacku shots from Enter the Dragon.

I have PowerDVD too. But I can't figure out how to capture stills with it. Any suggestions?

I use Cyberlink PowerDVD 6 Deluxe.

When playing a video or DVD etc., there is a button on the control panel with a picture of a camera on it. If you wave your mouse over it, it displays capture frame (shortcut is button "c").

Click "c" or button during playback to capture frames.

I found the frame capture button in PowerDVD. Works perfectly. Thanks to all.
