I RECENTLY BOUGHT A DVD RECORDER TO TRANSFER ALL MY VHS TAPES TO DVD...HOW DO I CAPTURE THOSE DVD VIDEO IMAGES TO MY COMPUTER TO UTILIZE MOVIE MAKING PROGRAMS?

You just need a DVD Ripping Program Like "Smartripper" or DVD Decryptor" and it will take the Vob files off of the DVD and save them on your Hard drive.....

You should also know that most Retail VHS Tapes are Copy Protected so they can not be Properly recorded with a DVD Recorder usless you have a Device for removeing the Copy Protection...The effect you will notice is that the Image gets Bright and then Dark and can have some Distortion in the Video....

    Cheers

Very few editing programs will accept vob files with ac3 audio and even fewer still will edit them without degradeing the quality....
The only 2 that i know are "Womble Mpeg2Vcr" and "Womble Mpeg Video Wizard 2003"....
