Okay, i've searched the forum up and down, hell I've even searched google up and down too. I have a MSI Geforce 4 460, my problem is - really poor capturing quality!

I use AMCAP.EXE for my capturing, I set my resolution and NTSC_M up properly, my colourspace however is UYVY which I believe is 16 bit colour? I can't select anything else.

In overlayed preview mode the video appears to be "OK" of quality, not too flash but "barely acceptable", but once it's on a 70GB File (for 30 mins of video @ 30fps), there is a heap of noise etc. I did not use any codec as what I think is the built in capturing chip doesen't support any hardware compression on the fly. Am I doing something wrong here as I've asked around and others said the quality of the built in capturing chip on the GeForce's "kicks ass".

Yes I understand using another proper capturing device will give me better capturing results, what about utilizing my existing capturing device?
