I am planning on buying a head unit with a front USB input. I have a 500GB 2.5" portable Seagate drive full of MP3 files and was wandering if anyone can recommend a unit that would work.

I know I've seen some that have 32GB flash drive limitations. I plan on powering the drive via a USB cigarette lighter adapter and running the data USB to the front on the radio.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Any help is much appreciated.

I have no help for you. Just a suggestion. I doubt that this is what you want to hear.

I have settled on mp3 CDs as the best car audio music for me. They hold about 8 hs of music and are small enough to be navigated while driving. I don't, I have it on random since I need to keep my eyes on the road. The smallness of the set allows for moods. 10,000 great tunes randomly accessed would be more of a punishment for me. That is probably just me.
