I’m new here and I didn’t know where to put this so excuse me if it’s not in the right place. I live in Iran and the only way I can see uncensored and uncut English films here is to buy the pirated DVDs. There is no way to find the original DVDs here and buy them legally. So I have a collection of about 80 pirated and illegal DVDs here. They don’t look very much different from the originals. They have great quality and almost the same packaging as original DVDs. I am coming to the USA in the next month and what I want to know is if I can bring them there. I mean is it a crime to carry them? I know it is against the law to sell them and reproduce them but what about a personal collection. It would be very helpful to me if someone gave some information about this. I would be able to sleep at night. Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much for that but it still isn't completely clear for me does Item (C) mean that if i'm not using them for business or trading... and only for my private use it's not a problem? even if I know they are infringing copies? could you help me out here? thanks again.
I think the main idea is to act dumb. If you are caught with them dont let on that YOU know they are copies tell them YOU thought the DVDs were original and would never support piracy in any form and you should be A-ok.
