I went to install windows xp hoem edition over my current windows xp. I just need to have a fresh install on my computer. I partioned my hard drive earlier, how do I install windows xp over the whole 80 gb of hard drive space. The way i am trying to install is the cd is in the computer. I try to boot from cd time my computer comeson, and it gives me this error message: cdboot, memory error, and it goes to the xp version already on the computer. HELP, I want a fresh copy. Thanks

If you want to use the whole of the 80 gig drive as one partition you will need to re-partion the drive, format and then do a fresh install onto the disc. Thus overwritting your previous installation.
