OK, So I read some stuff and thought this was the best encoder on the market, with an awesome ripper. So, a couple thousand dollars later I am sitting here trying to decide the best way to rip my DVDs.

Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 will not let me load directly from a DVD. I thought that was what I would recieve for the extra money, and I am sadly disapointed that it will not. My Adobe help does not seem to work, and the massive 119 page instruction booklet from CCE SP does nothing to help... In fact ~10 pages are dedicated to the plug-in edition.

So, I also have WINAvi, DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Clone.

I found I could drag and drop a version I cranked out for my old lady of Mean Girls (OK I admit I enjoyed watching 1:39 of Lindsay Lohan too), which is .avi . I look a bit more and see this :

    [/i]Input file format
The following descriptions are for the standalone version.
2In the case of one channel, the bitrate is half of each.

    CONTENTS 3

    Video
    AVI files
    AVI 1.0 (including reference file)
    AVI 2.0
    OpenDML
    frameserver (Avisynth, VirtualDub)
    QuickTime files mov files
    DV (dif) files

    Still-image sequence Bitmap files
    Targa files
    Tiff files
    PNG files
    JPEG files
    Audio
    Wave files uncompressed ones only
    AIFF files uncompressed ones only[/i]

SO OK, since I cannot rip from Adobe (was this a waste of $850?), am I better served to rip down from WINAvi and drop it to the CCE Program?

I am terribly disapointed in how vague this all is. For that much money I expected at least some useable instructions.
