    Hi Doofy,

I will try to help, as I am an RB-CCE user. First, we need to know what version of CCE you tried to set up?

I am also wondering what errors you received during setting up the RB-CCE combo?

I think i might be getting somewhere i have never done this before so i thought i would give it a go thing is this i have got it encoding so i decided to
backup my italian job dvd the first one not that travesty of a remake imho. i ripped it to my harddrive did all the dvd rebuilder stuff, i stopped it after a while and checked the files, so far so good
picture quality was excellent far better than shrink and i do mean far better. Then i noticed while it was playing in power dvd it said it was mpeg1 and the original is mpeg2, i am at a loss as to what i have done this time any help please

    Doofy ...

I need for you to be specific about what you are doing. Also, please do not use run-on sentences. Use punctuation, please.

I would still like to have the info I requested above. I would also like to know what DVD you ripped, and what program you used to rip it?

I don't think that's even possible. AFAIK DVD-RB doesn't even support MPEG1 encoding. Besides that if you encoded MPEG1 with CCE it wouldn't look that good.

Maybe PowerDVD is giving a bogus MPEG 1 reading?

It would certainly be better to verify it with another application. VirtualDubMod should be able to tell you. Just open up one of the VOBs, go to the file menu and select File Information. The File Information window that opens should say MPEG-2 Information in the titlebar.
