After encoding the fellowship of the rings, i've noticed that any supposidly solid black areas (such as the title when the text lord of the rings is first shown), their are artifacts where their should be solid black... The actual film is fine - it just seems to be solid black at the start that suffers (same in the start of the matrix) I use CCE Guesser to get a proper 4.2 gig rip, however I only use one pass (this was the pal release). Anyone come across this?
I wouldn't use single pass. 4-pass Multipass VBR gives you a very nice result with CCE (at a cost of a longer wait of course).
