Hi I have replaced my Lite-on 52x cd burner in my P4.Question is can I install this in my son's old P1? It is a 133mz 48mb ram 2Gb H/D & runs Windows 98se [no 98 cd] And if so do I have to uninstall old cd from Windows,or just replace it the same as my P4 [XP Home]& run the litey's driver cd to finish.
    Many Thanks

I recommend you go to the manufacturers site and look at the cd drive computer requirements. If the computer meets the minimum go ahead and install it. You should also look for a driver if it isn't the same OS or if you don't have the installation disk.
