CD Burner not working.... Plzz. help

    HI GUYS,

    A newbie here... i have a samsung cdrom with winxp installed.. it gives the following error log from nero i am using the latest nero version.. only cd rw burns... cdr gives the following error below. I have tried using the tweak abt going to control panel --> adminstrtaive tools-->services and disabling IMAP cdrom service. It dint work ...

    i edited out your serial #. try closing any programs running in the background as you only have 24meg of ram free or get more ram.

    thanxs for the advice... i am a newbie.. how do i go about using the firmware .. i have downloaded the .bin file and the flash utility.. how do i proceed after that... any help would be greatly appreciated...

    The flash didn't work or the new firmware didn't get you burning again?

    It appears your burner doesn't like your media, try another brand...I don't normally look at CD-R logs, so nothing really stands out to me as being really wrong unless I'm overlooking something.

    Your Nero is a couple of versions behind, its now been updated and some of the original bugs ironed out, go to Nero site and update.

    You said increasing the RAM didnt help, how much did you add.

    I updated my firmware to the latest one TS-04....The burning dint work on cd but worked on cd-r . I also used good quality CD (Sony) .... Also I am using Nero 7 ..... I closed all my running programs before I started burning so that more RAM could be available during the burn process but tat dint help either.....I also tried the that tweak to shut down the windows burner thru contol panel but tata also dint work.......

    Can neone help me ........

    I can see that you are using Nero7, but as I said you are a couple of UPDATES behind so once again I suggest you update.

    By increasing RAM it was meant that you purchase and fit another STICK of RAM, minimum of 256meg.

    I am sure once this is done yout problems should ease.
