Cd Burning

    On my laptop I have a CD drive. I f I download a freeware Cd Burner Program, will that allow me to burn cds and/or dvds or do i need a special cd/dvd drive or firmware? any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I use imgburn for DVDs and Media Monkey for music. That will get data from your hard drive to a burned disk. They can be downloaded for free.

    Yeah! chances are if your lappy is newer it can, at the very least, burn CDs..However w/o knowing the laptop and or drive used(make and model), we're just guessing..Windows comes with the dreaded(IMO) WMP for playback and burning..
    IMGburn- for my DVD burning(but it does work for burning audio Cds as well)via CUE sheets.
    Burrn, CDBurnerXP, BurnAware for my CD burning.
