Hey guys I was wondering if anyone can help me out with my Lite-On LTR 523275 CD writer. I've had the drive for about 18 months and now it has trouble detecting discs. Sometimes I have to eject the disc multiple times before it is detected. This pertains to both original pressed discs and blank media. Any ideas or suggestions on what I need to do? any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

No, DDP not yet. Can I just go to the electronics store and buy some sort of kit? What is the best course of action to clean the lens?

get a cd/dvd cleaner, and if that dont work, then you need a new drive, your current one maybe going out.

Thanks for your help guys! As always your advice was very helpful. I bought a memorex cd drive cleaner w/ the little brushes on the bottom; now my cd writer reads great again. Thanks again!
