Cd drive holder.

    Hey,

    im putting my old computer in a home made wodden case.
    I have made everything but still need a dvd/cd drive holder. I have a floppy/hdd holder.
    Any ideas were i could get one to screw in?

    scrap an old at or atx case for those bays

    Yer i tried this but i couldt ply it out of the case floppy/ hdd holder was easy!

    But the cd-rom holder was harder!
    Any tips?

    find an old case that the bays are rivetted to the frame & cut the rivets out.

    Right what do you recommend to cut them out?

    if the bays are rivetted to the frame than use side cutters or a hack saw. if all 1 piece than use hack saw to cut fram apart & a file to smooth the edges.

    Lol ddp weres a 14 year old boy gonna get a hack saw!!! lol!
    you got any ideas of where i could buy one?

    if father doesn't have 1 in his tool box/cabinet than can get it from hardware store for about $10.

    Right ok cheers Ddp. If you were intrested the reason for me needing this is as i am hoping to build my own computer case in design technology at school out of foam and perspex. Although i know foam will not be the best its the only material left!
    So cheers for all your help il keep you informed how it goes!

    foam!! wow...be sure to do some excellent cooling, or your going to bake your computer. lots and lots of fans...or better yet, in that type of case, use water cooling...it's probably the only thing that will save you.
