encountering problems whilst burning with a MSI 48x16x48cdrw.after i erase or burn a disc using either Nero or windows erase tool, the cd drive light goes out and it fails to read or burn any more discs.the only way around this problem is to restart computer which gets quite annoying.i have installed version 4.6 of winaspi and ran a winaspi check so i think that is out of the equation. Please Help

Try another cdrw (unformatted) and burn something and see if you encounter the same errors. What packet writing software are you using? Please don't say DirectCD<(blah)

using nero to burn but also having problems when erasing using windows xp erase.Happened on lots of different cds. When i burn or erase the 2nd disc the drive starts to work then burning light stays on and it isnt possible to cancel burn or eject disc so this results in having to power down then power back up again

For cdrw, use AheadInCD packet writing software to format& erase your cdrw's. I don't use cdrw's anymore because they would lock up my pc at times (formatted). I recommend you erase just once, then store the disc.
