My cd-r drive/ dvd/cd drive won't read any disks. I have tried a cd and a dvd and it couldn't read either of them. My computer identifies that the drive is connected how ever it won't run any disks. I don't know if it has to do with my registry or what. Anyone have any suggestions?

sorry for the double posting, but I got it figured out you can close this thread. It was some malware related thing I did an online virus scan and it picked it up. Again sorry for the double post.

It was some sort of spyware. I looked it up and it installs a toolbar onto your computer without you knowing or something like that. And you can't uninstall it, it was called something like my global I don't remember exactly. When I first saw the file name I didn't really think it could be related to my problems with my cd drive, but after it was removed the drive was working again.
