I cant get my disc drive to access discs I get this message see pic I think its connected to an old nero 6 product I had installed when I first got this machine but I cannot delete see pic Can any of you guys help me out with any of these problems big thanks to any of you can.
Have you checked to see if CD recording is enabled on the drive (Properties, Recording Tab). If it is enabled, try un-enabling and enabling. Then uninstall Roxio or other programs that can initiate a burn. Then try to 'uninstall' the Primary or Secondary IDE Channel and rebooting. It's in My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager, IDE Controllers, right click on Primary or Secondary (whichever the burner is connected to). If you have one hard drive it should be on the Primary, with the burner on the Secondary - but it does no harm to uninstall one at a time and rebooting. Good luck.
