having a MAJOR headache backing up my cd-g (karaoke) library, many queastions very few answers: i'm using a very capable internet machine, have been told to use cdrwin, but my dvd burner (ben-q dw1620 16X +/- dvd double layer) is NOT a supported recording device so <i hope i'm in the right forum> what , if any software is available for me to compile a fave disk<s> from cd-g to cd-r even if i could find software to do a straight backup would be fantastic. any and all help would be greatly appreciated... thanx,
How to check for CD+G. http://www.karaokebuilder.com/kbdrives.php Your drive should be compatable. Try Nero. http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Specific.aspx?ArticleId=10450 You may need to also update to the latest firmware. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1905
ok, i did check the links you sent me, and nero does burn the cd-g disks but when i did my burn i had no video <seems like a dumb question> but should i be using dvd-r disks? doesnt cd-r carry video as well??
You should use CD-R discs. Nero 6 Burning ROM can copy these using the directions at the site below. Do not use Nero Express. See this about copying Karaoke CDs (CD+Gs) with Nero 6. http://www.nero.com/us/FAQs_Nero6.html#12
thanx veblin!! everything u have said has been bang on!!! flawless backup has been acheived!! WOO-HOOO
Hi everyone, I did try the same using this that link : http://www.nero.com/us/FAQs_Nero6.html#12 But it didn't work, the music did but the image it's a blue screen. Can someone help? What did you did to make it work. Thanks Joel
dumb question... is your drive compatible? check here: http://www.karaokebuilder.com/kbdrives.php if so... ASK VEBLIN!!! he'll know
I dont think my question is dumb. Yes my drive is compatible. I have a external Benq DVD burner. Actually thew blue image I see is from my karaoke machine, so I have music without lyrics but no image at all. I did try what they say from the nero site. What I'm I doing wrong? I did the following: 1) Open Nero Burning ROM. 2) Select "CD Copy". 3) Go to the tab "Read Options" in the "New Compilation" window. 4) Select the "Karaoke" profile in the menu "Fast Copy Settings". 5) Make sure that the option "Read All Subchannel Data" is checked. 6) Go on with the burn process. Can someone help please???
I don't think he said YOUR QUESTION was dumb... I think he said his might. Anyway, I'm having the SAME EXACT problem you are and my drive is DAO 96 compatible.
Ok well, it doesn't work with NERO but I tried today with Alcohol 120% (trial) and it works perfectly.
