I read your text on using a disc identifier to give the exact manufacturer.I have downloaded and tried 3 with "Silverline" CD RW discs.None recognize it.A similar problem occurs when I burn them.Isobuster seems to be the only program that will read them.
I have never been that keen on rewritable discs. The old "IN CD" worked reasonably well but its own software took a lot of space.
My son bought 10 of the damn things for projects after my suggesting better to get a good quality CD.So now we are "stuck" with them what can I do with them?
Apart from painting them green and throwing them in the grass.

I use CD-RW for for OTA .ts recordings that have been converted to AVI.

ImgBurn reads the ATIP data ok.
