It just makes a soft thump sound when you push eject button. I've tried apps that have an eject function built in , and that doesnt work.
There should be a small hole on the front of the drive that you can insert a stiff wire into to manually open the drive, possibly a straightened out paperclip or the wire handle from a chinese food take-out box would work.
