    Hi everybody.
    I'm a bit upset. I have formatted a new cd-rw (Verbatim 80 min) with InCD, but something have gone wrong and the cd now seems dead. When I put it into the cd-recorder it is not loaded. The light of the recorder stays red (device not present) and I cannot erase the cd. The recorder is an old Yamaha 4416 scsi perfectly working. This is the third cd and I would like to blank it.

    Thanx in advance.

    Marco

    1. Can the disc be read/used in other machines?
    2. Are you sure your Yamaha can read the 80 minute RWs? A lot of the older drives have issues with 80 minute RWs

    1. The disk is not loaded if used in other machines;
    2. I have just burned a cd-rw 80 min Verbatim 4x.

    It seems that something like the very first track on the cd is lost and the system can't realize the the cd is plugged in. So I can't erase it. I'd like to get a tool that can ignore the "absence" of the disk and erase it. Does exist? I don't think to be the only one with this problem. Ok, I know that this disk is cheap, but I want to fix it anyway.

    Thanx again :)
