there are many, the 1 i'm using is creative media player that came with my sound card. it removers the drm and lets me save in other formats. you can also use winamp, but you have to register winamp to be able to do this. i know i know... there are other programs out there, i use these 2 mainly because i like to have all the info (artist/track name/genor....) so when i play it on my mp3 player, it gives me all the info on that song.

the best ripper out there is called EAC (exact audio copy). besides being free, it is the only ripper that can do a 100% accurate rip of an audio CD. when combined with the LAME mp3 plugin using VBR (variable bitrate) settings you will be able to create the highest quality mp3s possible.

check out the link in my sig below...we have a guide here on how to install, setup, and use EAC and LAME. if you want good results, don't trust anything but them...

DRM is a form of protection for compressed files, not audio CDs. check the link to the guide in my sig for the thread on how to get around CD copy protections...
