    Hi,
I'm not sure where to begin but basically when trying to burn an image file and data files as well with nero 6 ultra edition, it always fails. I recently got a new cd/dvd drive installed and it was working fine, but having updated my XP to SP2 I encountered an error with nero where it said that the version of nero would not be compatiable with sp2, so I updated via the patches available on Neros site. With this problem fixed, I've tried burning several different image files with no success. I'm not very knowledgable with the finer details of hardware errors, but can research whatever info is needed. Nero creates an error log, which I've posted below:

The bolded area is where the problem arises, I was burning on a cd and I've already created about 2-3 coasters in retrying with varying files and mediums - so cds are the file are not the problem. Just hoping someone can guide me along towards a solution. Thanks for your time and consideration in helping.

i found the problem is that i have sygate as my firewall and apparently sygate screws up the burning process, i shutdown sygate and it worked perfectly. Looks like sygate's going into the trash
