I recently bought a pack of maxell cd-r 80-xl-s in a local shop (v&d) here and the cdridentifier gave me this back ATIP: 97m 15s 17f Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co. Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine) Media type: CD-Recordable Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown nominal Capacity: 702.82MB (79m 59s 70f / LBA: 359845) I then burned about 350MB on one of them and by mistake I reran cdr-identifier on it and now it says this ATIP: Information not available Disc Manufacturer: Unknown Reflective layer: Unknown Media type: Unknown Recording Speeds: Unknown nominal Capacity: Unknown Is this normal after burning the cd?? Does the manufacturing data disappear after burning? And since I'm here anyways, is there anyone from the Netherlands here who bought TY-manufactured cd-r in a Dutch shop? I've bought hundreds of packs but never gotten a TY-cd, seems very odd...
Thank you for the confirmation I started to wonder if I've been doing something wrong all these years =)
Running the "drive check" option under the "extra" menu in Nero CD Speed will yield the following info on a burned Cd-r. While not as complete as cdr indentifier, at least you can get the ATIP from a burned disc. ----------------------------------------------- Disc information ------------------------------------------------ Type : audio Tracks : 23 (0 data, 23 audio) Capacity : 68:29.65 (308240 sectors) CD-R(W) information Manufacturer : Taiyo Yuden Media code : 97m24s01f Dye type : 1 Disc Type : CD-R Capacity : 79:59.73
