CFW released by waninkoko

Yea cuz the thing is, i was hearing a whole bunch of people crying about how ftp wasnt working for them once they used these new cfw's. Loserrrrss. lol Do you use Blackbox? Or the PS3ftp? I wanna try out Little Big Planet just as my jumpoff to the whole scene. I wanna ftp it from my pc.


This .pkg i install after ive placed Kmeaw CFW or before. Or do i just use this file as the CFW?

ay killerbug yeh i know i shouldnt log into psn with cfw but i was playing svr 2011 from disk but i had to sign into psn to access online features in the game , should i just avoid any thing associating its self with psn?

 

That is a tough question...we are reasonably sure that Sony can detect that you have used a backup manager even without logging in, and 100% sure that they can detect it if you log in. That said, no bans have come down yet, so we don't know what kinds of bans (if any) there will be. It is theoretically possible that sony might figure out a way to ban a PS3, and not just the PSN account...but I think we will see firmware hacks to reverse this if sony takes such a route.

If you have a game that needs the PSN, I would just create another login name for the PS3 and a new PSN account for that name.

As for installation, just follow the order of that link I posted...OFW 3.55, Kmeaw 3.55, Rogero Manager (the new stealth version), Blackb0x FTP, and the permissions fixer app. Transfer your games via FTP, then run the permissions fixer app, then Rogero Manager. Start your game(s) and allow them to download the needed patches and to do their "install" routine. Once "installed", close the game and start the next game. Repeat until you have done this with all games (or until you decide you will finish it later), then run the permissions fixer app, turn off the PS3, turn it back on, and use Rogero to start your game. Every time you go through the install process for a new game, run the permissions fixer app again...not sure if you have to do a full shutdown every time, but I do it anyway.

 

Killer, what Rogero you using? Im using 7.9a and it freezes.

 

I am using Rogero 7.9a Stealth. You still have to use a LVL2 program first, or it will freeze so hard that you have to turn the system off from the back.

BTW...there was a new LVL2 app released yesterday; have not tested it yet, but it sounds like it fixes a few of the issues some people (not me) were having:

Thanks bud! Hey, btw into what directory do you pass your games into with Rogero 7.9? Mine arent showing up on Rogero 7.9a? It has me baffled, for real.
