I've been working with a variety of different boxes in recent years. But always with N*L... I gave a box to a friend in Malahide who has chorus and I need to set him up, the stuff I talked him through didn't work, but I suspect him as the reason for that. I'd love a channel dump file that would work to: ***email removed by loco*** Otherwise I'm presuming that before scanning I can set Ch**us as the provider, do a scan, turn on the emu and let it update, like I do with N*L Can anyone confirm that these steps work.. I don't want to look like a fool if there's something simple I'm overlooking.. Anyone in that area or supplied a box to that area? Thx
has he got true cable tell him to scan with symbol rate 6875. if he has mmds the box wont work you will need the box T for that
Sorry for breaking the rules.. Any infor on a channel dump for ch**us dublin area I'd be interested, thanks.. It's true cable as far as I know, I haven't been to his place to try it for myself.. He said he did a scan found lots of channels but couldn't watch any.. It sounds to me like he just missed a step. If it was mmds or other, I presume he wouldn't have found the channels.. So, I was going to concentrate on emu setting or codes.. I'm assuming it upgrades the same as for N*L...
im on n*l myself bud but there was a problem with boxes not picking the ch**us codes ask him if his box is just saying updating there is your problem if it saying scrambled or bad channel he never put on the emu when he scanned and for channel dumps go to this link click starview and see if what you need is there http://eko.4shared.com/
I check that location regularly myself... but I find that the files often say for "Ireland" for example, but not weather it's N*T or Ch**us... If you know one is ch**us let me know... You know how it is, you're into computers so everyone u know calls u when there's probs with anything like this lol...
