Hey Guys, I have swapped my matrix modxhip for the chameleon (w/adaptor, Matrix was taken out completely). I do have a couple of questions with regards to the working of the Chameleon: 1) I have flashed it with the EvoxD.6, in the 4x256 mode on the chip. Should the dip switch settings stay at all off (I am loading in Bank 0)? 2) With the Matrix the chip was on until I turned it off with the eject fix and the light was SOLID ON until then. The Chameleon boots up solid and then flashes until I load a game, then the light goes off....does this mean that the chip has done its work and is on standby or is off completely? 3) Live.....I can go to M$ Dashboard and after it does load, the light does go off...If in Q2 the chip does go off, there should be absolutely no problems....if not, what is the trick to turn it off? Thanks in advance for any and all help... gshockdan
1. Yes 2. The Chameleon has 2 ways to be turned off. If you solder wires to the Power and Eject points on the motherboard and chip you can use the Eject button to disable the chip. Or since you used the solderless adapter you would need to edit the evox.ini file according to the user manual and disable the chip using the EvolutionX dash. This requires you to first boot the EvolutionX dash, Go into the Chameleon control option and disable the chip and reboot the Xbox loading the original M$ Bios. 3. The LED only lights when you are in the EvolutionX dash. Just because the LED is not blinking doesn't mean the chip is off. See #2 above. RustyDog
Hey, Stupid me......I was overlooking where I edited the evox.ini file. I had the Chameleon Mode 1 menu under the launch menu/system utils, I was looking under system utils. Thanks for Clarifying all of my questions RustyDog...If I need you, I know where to find you. gshockdan P.S. RustyDog.....you have been a big help to this community one way or another, this is the first time I have need to ask for help, only because you usually have my questions answered one place or another.......Thanks.
