Hello as you can see what the title says and im very sorry if i posted in the wrong thread but im really curious is it possible? I seen booktype instructions and wondering if its possible to do that since my Ps2 and only read Dvd-R and not DVD+R. And if possible could you post the instructions.

    SOnic hi :)
the answer is no. you can't change a dvd+r to dvd-r
having said that you can change dvd+r to dvd-rom, which i believe can be played on your Ps2, a Ps2 will not play a burned dvd unless it has had a mod chip installed.
i'm no expert on Ps2, so if i am wrong some one will come along and put me right

As gurnard said you either need your PS2 Hardmoded(modchip) or have a swap disc with a slidtool or fliptop to swap the backup. As to booktyping your DVD Burrner has to suport it. If it does then it depends on what program your using on how to booktype a DVD+R to DVD-ROM.

If you need help with booktyping then post your Brand and Model number of the DVD-Burrner you have and what program your using to burn the PS2 games.

Did you try burrning a DVD-R disc and play it on your PS2? Seems to me maybe it is cheap media issue.
