hi first of all i think ive got the correct forum for this queiry, i always check i lol. anyway ill get to the point, i have another laptop which is currently down. what happens is i would start up the laptop as usual and it would load up just fine until the desktop background shows up after the 'welcome' and 'windows is starting up screen' part. so then i would be left with my desktop wallpaper and no icons or no toolbars or anything are loading up. i try press ctrl+alt+del, and i get no response. i am just left there with my wallpaper showing and nothing else. i have an idea that it could be a changed registry key. if so i would need to system restore but how can i possible system restore when its like this. i understand there is a way to get onto system restore but how? if you would like anymore information please just ask thanks
Start the laptop in Safe Mode. You will get a prompt asking you if you want to continue in SM, or do a System Restore.
