changing boot up drives

    Hi all, need help again!!
    I'm still thinking of redoing my system again,
    but noy sure on how to change drives to boot my
    XP CD.
    Any reply would be much appreciated,

    Hey

    So you want to boot from your Windows XP CD.

    It all depends on your motherboard what the exact option is:

    When you start up the comptuer, hit DEL (usually) to enter the BIOS setup screen.

    Now there could be a few difference places where it could be. What you are looking for is BOOT ORDER. It might have its own heading, or could me inside other heading.

    Once you have found it, use the mouse to go to the option, look at the bottom of the screen and it will tell you what you need to press to change it (eg + and -)
    I have mine set to
    #1 - CD-ROM,
    #2 - Floppy Drive
    #3 -HDD-0

    Thanks a bunch,
    it was right there under the heading
    main bios controls, i think thats what it was,
    anyways, i found it, thanks to you.
