Is there a way to change the burn speed when using nero? I use Dvd Shrink and it automatically uses Nero 6.3.1.17 to do the burning. The only options for burn speed it gives me are maximum and 16X. I use Sony 8X media and would like to burn at a slower rate than 8X. Is this possible without changing the media?
*moved from dvd-r for advanced users* Not if you are using Shrink to auto burn. To control the burn speed, you'll have to manually open Nero and burn from there.
if you have Nero installed and don't want Shrink to autoburn, untick the 'burn with nero' tickbox - Also make sure your burner firmware is up to date, thus enabling it to correctly identify media burn speeds etc. Plus make sure blank disc is in the burner [bold]before[/bold] you click on burn, otherwise Nero will default to maximum. ps it might be worth updating Nero to 6.6.0.12 or .13, as yours is real old now..
