The Prodisc DVD-Rs that I got last month were id'ed as MCC's and burned at 8X with no problem, even though they were rated at 4X. The last bunch of Prodisc's I just got are identified as Prodisc's. When I use DVD Shrink, it burns w/ Nero @ 8X. The new Prodisc's w/ the Prodisc i.d. are rated at 4X and I had 12 coasters out of 22 disks burned when burned at 8X. The strange thing is, everything says it was a successful burn @ 8X. I thought it would be a simple matter to change my burn speed to 4X to see if that would help, but I can't seem to find where to change the burn speed in Nero. Can anybody help?
If you're setting Shrink to burn using Nero: In the same window where you select your burner as the target device using Nero to burn there will also be a "Burn Settings" tab where you can change your burn speed.
