i just got a new dvd burner. it is a dual layer burner. sony DRU-710A. i was trying to remove the region. i went to http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php found my drive, and first downloaded the "ltnRPC". it did not work. i then downloaded the "BYX4" still nothing. i removed everything, i think. and tried to play a dvd. it still did not work. i have yet to play even one dvd on this drive. WMP gives me an error "problem occurred with digital copyright protection" i think ive got a few things going wrong. i need to start with just getting the drive to play my region 1 discs. if someone could get me headed in the right direction it would be much appreciated
Instead of trying to remove the regional settings, why not use AnyDVD and bypass them instead? While using this application, you don't have to worry about any regional settings while backing up your dvds or playing them. It's my personal recommendation.
