Changing the file format

Hello,

I have a DivX file but I need to change this to an AVI file how can this be possible?

you must be mistaken its already an avi (divx /xvid and avi are all the same: just different containers)

Do you mean you need to convert it to an mpeg2 so you can then burn it and watch it on a standalone dvd player

once converted it will be an mpeg2 file.Nero, imgbirn, roxio or what ever you use to burn will see it in the right format and you will be able to burn it to dvd
