I made a Channel Dump a few months ago, everything was hunky dorey for a while, then I started to lose a few channels, fair do’s as they weren’t channels that I watched anyway, then my movie channels started going…. which was a pain. So with the sky channels coming back to VM I decided to delete all the channels and rescan. This seems to have worked alright apart from the channels are all over the place again. So……..my questions are. 1. Why has my last channel list disappeared? 2. If I upload my last channel dump will I lose all the channels I’ve just got back? If this is the case is there a easy way amending my last channel dump or do I have to make a new one? 3. Lastly does anyone have an up to date channel dump for the Edinburgh area that I could pinch? p.s when a channel disappears and you have to rescan to get it back. Whats changed? And why would it change? Cheers
You don't say what kind of box you have so nobody will know what channel dump to point you to. The reason channels disappear is because the frequency gets changed, usually a manual scan on the correct frequency will get them back for you without disrupting your listings, they will just appear at the end.
1, Your channel list has disapeared because you deleted it when you did a rescan. 2, If you UPLOAD your CDF from your box you wont loose the channels and you can sort them out on your PC using THIS. 3, No sorry and nor can I find one for you, as before just edit your own then once you have done that you will then have to factory reset your box then DOWNLOAD your edited CDF to your box, and if you felt generous you could then share it with us
