Hi all.Ive had my starview box for about a year and am loving it.Would just like to put a few questions to you experts and keep up the good work . 1) Is there any way i can get the channels in order ,i.e all the sky sports 1,2 and 3 together and bbc1 itv etc . 2)Many of my channels are under different names ,i.e tv2368 could be setanta 1 and nick junior is called 100% babes 3)If i need to rescan channels (which ive only done once) do i need to delete all the channels first . 4)Can you get the ppv movies . 5)cant find events channel for the hatton fight . As you can tell im not clued with all this ,so any help would be appricated,thanks
You've had it a whole year and don't have the menu set yet?? I did it all in just six months and I thought that was long . Seriously, it's quite laborious and takes a few hours to get them all in order, unless you get what's called a channel dump from someone, which you download to your box from your PC and all the channels will be in a certain order, though not necessarily your preferred order. Use the 'menu' button, then go to 'channel edit', then press password 0000 and use the coloured buttons, (instructions are at the bottom of the screen). You can rename, delete and MOVE channels into any order. It's slow at first till you get used to it.
thanks ill do that now ,and ive found the ppv channel i think ,its got the hatton preview on .Can u get the ppv movies?
There was a movie on ppv last week, for a couple of days but it's gone back to a wrestling advert. I think it's hit and miss if there's summit on that channel. Good luck getting your menu in order, it's really not as hard as it looks. You can have my channel file if you like but I'm not sure if mine will work in your area Depends if you feel like unplugging then setting up on your PC. My channels are bbc 1, 2, itv, 4, five, itv 2, itv3, E4, bbc news, cnn news, a couple of cartoonies for the kids, then every movie channel, then drama and comedy channels, gardening, animal planet, histories, discoveries, all the music channels, all the other cartoons, sports channels, bravo & other trash, then all the naughty rubbish, then all the +1 channels, then all the shopping.
ive renamed all my tv208.... etc and sorting them in order now .im half way through it now but thanks any way. just hope it saves them the way im putting em in order .thanks for the help
Well done Sky lol Just a tip , if your sorting out channels in order etc , if you press the Double Arrow (up/down) it moves it up in 10's instead of moving single When you press exit after your finished , it will save automatically for you
