Channels missing even after I rescan :(

My area hasn't received cards yet but I have lost FIVE, MORE 4, E4, E4 + 1, Sky Premiere and Sky News.
I have a Starview 1 and have removed splitters etc etc before doing an Automatic Scan. These channels have been missing now for over a week. Is there any way to search for them just by using the channel name?

try a factory reset and rescan!

 

I've done that of course and several times

 

i think you are changing to nag.3 then
also when you say your area
do you mean you have not or your neighbours?

 

end of the road for your box if them channels are gone be prepared for the rest to go

 

But we haven't had the cards yet and why would they remove FTA stations first?

It gets weirder-A Factory Scan close to midnight brought back everything apart from E4 ! What is going on?

your area is prob getting ready for change over
reason factory scan got them back is frequency changed over

 

But why didn't the Factory Scan recover them before? They've either gone or they haven't-Why should the time of day you do the scan make any difference?

 

I'm not on this list and it also includes areas where i know people are still watching-Who compiles it?

once you receive a card you have 3 / 5 weeks before you be switched off so they might have the card but not switched over yet
