Channels with DreamBox 500s? (Ireland)

    What channels do i get if I connect the dreambox 500s to an existing Sky Satellite dish ........ do I just get the free to air channels or do I get RTE,Sky One etc also?.
    Satellite is my only option as I live out in the country that does not have MMDS reception.

    You wont get any thing extra by joining your dreambox to your sky satellite dish,it only works on either cable or MMDS

    I recently got a DB 500s and moved dish to pick astra 19.2 east,after a lot of trial and error I can view some channels, which you may be interested in. If you want more details pm me

    You can get all FreeToAir channels with a dreambox with satellite tuner.
    RTE, Sky One are scrambled and you would need a valid sky card.
    A freesat box is maybe the better choice for FTA.

    The s in the name 500s stands for satellite, 500c means cable and 500t terrestrial (dvb-t).
