I am using Nero 6.6. I have a Panasonic DVD/VCR combo that I use for recording TV programs to DVD and transfering VHS to DVD. I also use the Panasonic to transfer home movies to DVD. When I bring the VOB files into Nero Vision 3 and add chapter marks I get a "flicker" where I have placed the chapter mark. It's like a picture suddenly flashes on the screen for a split second. Has anyone encountered this problem and how did you solve it? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I don't know much about this type of problem, but my guess would be the stream is having problems dealing with the addition of the chapter marks. I found the below link, maybe it will help, or lead you in the right direction. http://www.videoredo.com/FAQs/ExtractStreamsFromDVD.htm
Thank you for your help. I will have to download a copy of DVD Decripter and try what is suggested in the article. The site you sent me to was a Video Redo site. Will I need a copy of Redo or can I edit files processed by Decripter in Nero?
Odd that you should mention this problem, photodude - although I never had probs with Nero6 when it came to chapter marks, I do with the newest (ver 7.2.3.2b) - not so much a flicker, but a degradation/pixillation of picture that lasts for about 2 seconds either side of a chapter mark, and this with a flawless nero - made mpg too...I've contacted Nero tech support in the hope that they can help, but won't hold my breath! Will let you know if they come back with anything, though -
Thank you Ratae. I hope tech support will be able to help you. When I try Decripter I will let you know the result. However, it may not apply to Version 7. What is happening with your chapter marks in Ver. 7 sounds a lot worse than the problem I am having with Ver. 6.6 . The "flicker" I get lasts about a half second or so.
