Which programs would be most suitable to add chapters and a main menu to a MPEG file? I want to create VCD's which have a number of scenes, as well as not have the audio dissappear when you fast forward/rewind the movie. I use Nero to burn my VCD's, so the resulting files must be compatible with it. I've already tried VCD Easy, it has issues with my CD writer, so any alternatives?
Or try keeping using VCDEasy and select, as writer, 'CD image recorder', because 99% it's just a CDRDAO compatibility problem of your burner, but VCDEasy works. Later, burn the .CUE/.BIN image you just created with VCDEasy with any application you have (Nero, Alcohol 120%, CDRWin, DiskJuggler, Clone CD...).
Any good threads/guides on using either VCDEasy or Nero VisionExpress for authoring? I can make chapters using the "equidistant chapters" button, but a main menu is more difficult. Thanks for the help so far.
Those guides are good, but they rely on you having created the images and the .IFO and .VOB files already. Far easier to use NeroVision Express for that. BTW does NeroVision Express re-encode the .MPG files? I ask because the first VCD I burnt using a .MPG created by TMPGEnc worked fine.
I've used this to make menus for vcd easy. though i can't remember if you audio when FF. http://www.briggsoft.com/vmlite.htm
