Is it possible to make chapters on SVCD?

If so, how?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Trevelyan: For England James?
    Bond: No, for me.

yes once you have the encoded to mpeg 2 use vcd easy to add the chapters and build the bin/ cue image files here is a guide i wrote a while back http://www.fixitsguide.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/vcdeasy.htm
its for vcd but the principals are the same just check svcd instead of vcd 2.0 the guide is outdated the new version even writes the files really well if your writer is supported and alsow has a built in media player that allows you to pich the entry points by viewing the movie ( i really need to update this :p ) but you should get the idea

Do I need to set the chapter points myself?

If so would there be a file (with the ripping) which has chapter points?

    lmfao

1 more thing. Last time I tried to make an SVCD I couldnt find the exact length of the movie in the .d2v file. Is there a .ifo file with this information in it?

ive never seen an ifo file with this info, to find the total length i just play the file in media player and it usually tells you.
