I am editing DV with Vegas Video 3.0 and a Sony DV cam but I also want to be able to capture form VCR and friend's analog vidcam. I am a newbie and not very versed in techie talk. I have a 1.6 gig athlon XP running windows XP. Am willing to spend up to $75.00 - am looking at Pinnacle PCTV, Hauppage Wintv, K-world pc tuner, Avermedia... Can someone please advise me? Thanks.

I use Avermedia and it works just dandily for my purposes. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of an A/V input for audio; but I think this can be bi-passed by connecting a VCR to the card and then the A/V cables to the VCR ;-).
