im planning on buying a HDTV in 1080p. but does anyone know a good one for cheap. i perfer samsung or sony about 30-40 inches. but i just want one for cheap. anyone know one?

I've heard many good things about Westinghouse TV's. I have seen a few & the picture quality is pretty good. Am thinking about getting one for my bedroom, sometime in the future. yesi heard about westinghouse alot but i didnt knoe it was a good brand. i might think about geting it. sinces its new years sale, anyone know anymore deals on hdtv with 1080p?
I would go with the Westinghouse. The cheapest Sony is $2300.00 for a 40" with 1080P and the cheapest Samsung is $2500.00 for a 40" with 10800p. Anything smaller from Samsung or Sony supports 480i,480p,720p,and 1080i
Olevia sets are relatively cheap, with 1600:1 contrast and 8ms response time. They are frequently on sale--32" for < $600, I saw a 37" in a Sunday paper ad this week for $899.

There's no edit button on my last post for some reason so I'll make my correction here: Whoops! I forgot you were looking for 1080p. I don't think the less expensive Olevia sets support that, only 768p. BTW, are you set on an LCD/plasma and size <40"?
