Hello, I've had my CG for about half a year, I recently moved, and when I set up my GC I get a 'check lid switch wire' error message, I have a qoob SX chip, and have previousy had very few problems. I've read through some forums and most people said that it was to do with the wireing, is there anyway for me to be certain of this? I bought my GC pre-chipped and I'm not very talented electronically so I really don't want to be opening my cube up, thanks for any help.

Was it working before? If it was the chip either broke or the wireing got alittle messed up. If you google the setup instructions you can check if any wire got unsautered. If it was just sauter it back to the right place.

I've checked the wireing, and all seems to be ok, I've got some photos which I will try and upload, any other suggestions would be appriciated. I read in one forum that it could be to do with a faulty chip, but I'm unsure whether or not this is the case.

    hi,
i get this error very VERY often. It seems to be that something is not screwed in tight enough. Seeing as how yours worked fine about 6 months.. I am not sure, but when you get the bit take it apart and check to be sure everything is screwed in snug and also when you turn the cube on you have to have the lid shut or you get that error.. at least for me i do.. ok well hope this helps a little.. also the 4 little screws on thge memory card slots have to be put in and snug.. that cause it for me before too..
