Well I just got back my PS2 V12 from trustedmods.com. Very very fast!! Took 4 days to get back after they recieved it. I got the crystal chip 1.1 Plus laser fix at no charge for $85 total including chip, and soldering both the laser fix and chip and shipping! After I installed the bootloader it was playing games with no problem! Works Great! I personally recommend them since I dont see them on the board much.
is that first screen of bootmanager? Is bootmanager just a crystal chip kind of thing? I was thinking about getting the same kind of deal from another source, (but no laser fix, I don't think I need that) and they told me to send a memory card so they can install bootmanager. I was just wondering if it was something exclusive to crystal chip. Also, did you have to install the hacked firmware when you got it back? Have fun with it!
I would buy it from Norcalmods.com they have the same thing except it is only 65$ and just look at his installations they are a work of art, I am getting my PS2 modded with a Crystal Chip 1.1 right now and if you send him your memory card he will install boot manager with hacked firmware for free with some apps.
I was planning on going with teammodders gave me a quote of crystal chip 1.0 $25 install $35 return shipping $15 that leaves an extra $10-15 for shipping so, [bold]about $85-90 altogether[/bold]. What's the difference between v1.1 and 1.0 of Crystal Chip? I just emailed norcalmods about their return shipping. There deal now is $60, which is the same price teammmodders gave me, basically without shipping.
i had trustedmods.com install the crystal 1.1 lite in my ps2 also and it works great , stay away from the 1.0 because it is the older version chip and im sure upgrade support will be dropped for it soon . i was going to go with that team moders and other sites but i went with trustedmods because they actually answered my emails at all hours of the day and very promptly , every where else it took days at minimum to get a reply so i could only imagine how long it would take to get my ps2 back from them . trustedmods had my ps2 back in my hands within days after them getting it , i was amazed ..
Norcalmods.com is only 78$ total and resonded to all my email's within the hour, Crystal Chip 1.1 they put apps on your memory card for you, install hacked firmware and his installations are the best I've ever scene. If I were you I would go with norcalmods.com he is also a highly trusted modder.
I think this is what I'm going to do so I get a 1.1 chip, and Tokijin recommended norcalmods, among others. I gave teammodders an email, and asked if they typed 1.0 by mistake and they said no, that all they had at the time. They said they'd be getting some 1.1 chips in the next few days, but they were $40 each, as opposed to $25 for the 1.0 chip. So this is the way it seems to shape up for both teammodders, and norcalmods, for my case at least: total cost = crystal chip 1.1 + installation + shipping both ways teammodders: ~$105 [bold]norcalmods: ~$95[/bold]
Yep Norcalmods.com has very good installations, cheap prices, and fast modding/shipping you made a good.
i guess me and the guy that originally posted this thread that you hijacked got ripped off ? i paid the same as you are and my ps2 has worked for months , not to mention the premod i got from http://www.trustedmods.com/ yrs ago still work also .. but i would not expect more from you considering you are breaking the rules by having a mod service link in your sig , guess you are norcalmods or his buddy //
I'm not saying TrustedMods.com is a bad site and I don't even know the owner of norcalmods.com I'm just saying that he is a great installer and the cheapest around.
i agree about norcalmods being the best...they workin on my system right now....every question i asked was answered respectfully and honest....every email i would send would be responded back to in less than an hour....great people there at norcalmods...and no i dont know the owner and no im not part of norcalmods...just extremely happy with their service...and no im not promoting the site...im just responding to the thread which was about mod sites
but this thread is not about mod sites if you would bother to read the origonal post , and it is rude to hijack it .
I'm just saying so that if other people look at this thread they can get a cheaper installation by a pro modder.
