I fired up one of my consoles last night. The rrod started blinking right away, but I heard the dash loading over my pc speakers. So I switched my pc monitor input, and sure enough, the dash did load and the console was working. I never heard or read about this before, so I grabbed my camera and shot this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmsLydYUO_o
LMAO just for shits a giggles u should call MS and tell them u have red ring but everything works. very strange tho. just a thought but are u sure the rf card or whatever it is called that has the power button and lights on it is seated fully and that the connector is clean on the card and the 360?
Yep, never removed the rf board, so it's fine. And I can't get the error code. I tried, but holding down the sync and hitting the eject just results in what a normal working console would do... the tray ejects.
I would get it to some one who knows about the intrenal side of the X-Box. Maybe you found away around the RROD. Woun't that be a Howl....
has this console had the rrod b4? it may die soon. If not theres nothing wrong with a cosmetic red ring of death lol.
Nope, no rrod before. And the wireless works fine. I'm on it 3-5 hours a night. If it were on its way out, I would have seen some signs. I guess it's just lonely and wants to go home (repair center) so it's trying to trick me.
My 360 has done that a few times. It also got rrod every second or third time i'd turn on the box for a year, and for the last 3 months it's been working perfect with no rrod. nothing was ever done to it. 360's are schiz.
i love it when people that are clueless post, hey bhetrick you sure you plugged in that on thingy all of the way? LOL anyway nice touch, maybe with that you could figure out how to replicate the rrod look and reproduce them on other rf modules. i bet it would sell.
This happened to me for about 2months ,but one day it didn't wake up.I opened it up and some of the solder joints hand melted yuck ,so I sold it to my friend.
