On a recent trip to China, I bought several dvds. I made a copy for myself to carry on trips but it is not recognized in my dvd player. I can play it in my computers. The software and media have been used before with no problems. Is there something about Chinese videos that I need to know. Would PAL instead of Ntsc make a difference. My stand alone player doesn't even recognize that a disc is in.
DVD movies from China are in PAL version. In the United States, we use NTSC version. Your stand alone dvd player in the US is most likely NTSC region and will not play PAL DVDs.
