I'm busy ripping purchased movie DVDs onto my hard-drive. I hope to burn them onto another a blank DVD+R (or whatever is best) in the future for future watchings. When ripping DVDs using DVD Fab, the option is DVD9 or DVD5. Which option is best for me?

If you rip to DVD5, DvdFab Platinum will compress it for you, removing the necessity for a transcoder/encoder.

If you rip to DVD9 compression will be necessary to burn to a DVD5 size blank media disc.

Of course if you're using DvdFab Hd Decrypter, you're limited to full disc or DVD9.

And if you rip to DVD9, you will then need to use a program such as dvd shrink to compress it to DVD5 size.

You will need to use a burning program, such as imgburn, to burn your copy.
